Vendor Diversity Program

Our Vendor Diversity Program is designed to promote equitable opportunities, strengthen local economies, and foster innovation through partnerships with diverse suppliers. We believe that a diverse supply chain enhances our business agility, reflects our client and community values, and supports long-term sustainability.

1. Program Objectives

  • Promote Inclusion: Increase participation of businesses owned by underrepresented groups, including women, Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, persons with disabilities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
  • Expand Opportunities: Identify and engage diverse suppliers across Canada to support IT staffing, technology solutions, and professional services.
  • Strengthen Communities: Contribute to economic growth by supporting local and small businesses that reflect the diversity of the communities in which we operate.
  • Align with Client Values: Partner with clients to advance shared ESG and DEI objectives across the supply chain.

2. Eligibility and Supplier Categories

We consider a supplier “diverse” if it is at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by members of designated equity-seeking groups, as recognized by organizations such as:

  • Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB)
  • Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada)
  • Canadian Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC)
  • Inclusive Workplace & Supply Council of Canada (IWSCC)

3. Program Components

a. Identification and Outreach
  • Maintain a database of certified diverse vendors and proactively include them in RFPs, sourcing events, and subcontracting opportunities.
  • Participate in supplier diversity events and match-making programs to identify new partners.
b. Evaluation and Inclusion
  • Embed diversity criteria in our procurement evaluation process.
  • Require prime suppliers and subcontractors to demonstrate their own diversity practices and reporting.
c. Mentorship and Capacity Building
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to emerging diverse vendors to help them meet compliance, scalability, and performance standards.
  • Offer knowledge-sharing sessions on procurement processes and industry best practices.
d. Monitoring and Reporting
  • Track spend and participation with diverse vendors through quarterly reporting.
  • Establish annual improvement targets and share progress with clients upon request.

4. Accountability and Governance

Our Supplier Diversity Lead oversees the program, supported by the DEI Committee. Together, they ensure adherence to corporate policy, coordinate data collection, and review performance annually.

5. Commitment

We are committed to building an inclusive supply chain that reflects Canada’s diversity. By integrating equitable sourcing practices into every engagement, we aim to create sustainable business relationships that drive innovation, strengthen communities, and support social and economic equity.
